Yesterday, the 12th, the class started practicing the
techniques of cross contour, hatching, and line qualities. I took a few
pictures of some drawings and one of the still life itself. We were practicing
giving various objects character and definition through the line quality. When
looking at the pieces done after the taken photos and class being over, they
really reminded me of a sort of comic book drawing. Every object being drawn
was unique in its own way. The whole point in doing this new kind of drawing
was to combine this style with other techniques of the previous week. In the
future, the class is going to use everything previously learned and apply it
all to a new assignment.
